Long workdays, travel and packed schedules shouldn't mean your pet goes without love. At Urban Trails & Tails, we step in when you can't be there, with care that's personal, reliable and full of heart.
Every pet has their own personality, routine and quirks. We take the time to learn them, so your dog gets the walk they love, your cat gets fed on their schedule, and you get real peace of mind.

Meet Our Founder
Aliyah Taylor started Urban Trails and Tails to give pet owners care they never have to second-guess.
She has worked professionally with animals for nearly 10 years. She holds a bachelor's degree in Animal Science from the University of Illinois, where she built a strong foundation in animal behavior, welfare, nutrition and safe handling.
She went on to train under master trainer Joel Slaven, whose work spans film, SeaWorld, Busch Gardens and years alongside Jack Hanna. Under his mentorship, she spent more than two years teaching dogs on-leash obedience and also learned exotic bird care and animal husbandry, which is why our care extends to birds and reptiles too.
Her hands-on experience runs deep. As a kennel technician, she cared for up to 50 dogs at a time, handling feeding, oral and injectable medications, and daily exercise. At a dog daycare, she supervised playgroups of 25+ dogs, learning to read and manage every personality and energy level.
At home, her two-year-old English Bulldog, Mini, keeps her humble. Stubborn and full of energy, she's taught Aliyah the patience and consistency she brings to every pet in our care.
Aliyah’s background shapes how our team works: patient, observant and tuned in to the small details that keep pets happy, healthy and safe.
